Robert E Place, 58, of Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, formerly of Schenectady, died Thursday at Ellis Hospital after being stricken.Born in Schenectady, Mr. Place lived here most of his life before moving to Clifton Park. He was a graduate of the former Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady and served with the Air Force.He was a sales and marketing representative for Blue Shield of Northeastern New York. Survivors include his wife of more than 17 years, Colleen Smith Place, two daughters, a brother and a sister.A service will at noon Monday at the Daly Funeral Home with burial in Parkview Cemetey.(From Schenectady Gazette, April 1995.)
