The is the second cemetery for the St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville, LA. The entrance is located on the Old Kaplan Highway. A new gate has been built and it says Mary Magdalen Cemetery. The masoleum has a tier building with the name Saint Mary Magdalen Cemetery. A mistake was made in the design of the gate on Old Kaplan Highway that may be misleading to the internet visitor or the physcial vistors upon their arrival at the site. If you locate the Vermilion Catholic High School, and you face the high school entrance from Highway 167, the Old Kaplan Highway is the first road on your left. A short drive will bring you to the gate of the named Mary Magdalen Cemetery. As the GPS position is found, it will be posted on this site for positive identification.
