In Loving Memory of my Grandmother Josephine Cavazos Ramos.Anchorage resident Josephine Cavazos Ramos, 69, died Dec. 10, 2005, at Alaska Regional Hospital of lung cancer.A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel. The Rev. Fred Bugarin will officiate.Mrs. Ramos was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Shasta, Texas. She moved to Anchorage in 1972 and worked as an apartment manager until her retirement in 2003. She always kept busy. She enjoyed being outdoors, and taking long walks was her favorite thing to do.Her family says: "Josephine was a vibrant woman, very strong willed. She was a feed-the-world kind of person, very independent and outgoing. She was a giver, a fighter and was admired by all who had the pleasure to know her. She was a strong believer in the Lord. What meant most to her was just having her family by her side. She was the perfect mother and was dedicated to raising her 7-year-old grandson, Cameron Batiste. Josephine will be missed dearly and loved forever."Mrs. Ramos is survived by her daughters, Isabel Castro of California, Mary Lou Muller and Felicia Ramos, both of Texas, Sally Neal of Florida, and Connie Ramos-Johnson and Anna Marie Logan, both of Alaska; 23 grandchildren, all of Alaska; and six siblings, last known to live in Texas.Memorial contributions and letters of condolences may be sent to the Ramos Family, c/o Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary, 11621 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage 99515.Memorial tributes may be made at www.mem.com.Arrangements are with Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary.
