Originated as the Reorganized Church of Later Day Saints (RLDS) in the 1880s. Name changed in about 1990s to Community of Christ Church.Daniel Cicero Overcast requested the church be started but when he discovered that this RLDS unlike the LDS Morman church failed to premit plural marriages he lost interest. Others in the area became interested including his wife Louisa Conlatha Arrn Overcast who was one of the church's first baptised members.
