Bruce and Eric Hellickson were the sons of Sandra Connell and Dayton Hellickson. They were the grandsons of Jack and Mildren Connell whose families were early pioneers in the area. Their paternal grandparents were Leon and Gwen Hellickson, like the Connells, long time ranchers in the area. Both boys died in a trailer house fire. Bruce was 17 and his brother Eric was 13, they were interred together representing their strong brotherly attachment. They were the only children of Sandra Connell.
