The first wife of David Oberholtzer Bechtel was my great grandmother, Ida Kline Fretz. She is the mother of his four children Annie Esther Bechtel Blankenhorn, Susan, Arthur Bechtel, and Clarence Bechtel. They were married in January 1886.
