Corozal Cemetery

The exact location of the Corozal "Silver" Cemetery to be distinguished from the Corozal American Cemetery located in the same area and now part of the American Battlements Memorial system. The Corozal Cemetery is home to more than 14,000 graves, most of which are the tombs of former "Silver Roll" or Black employees and their families of West Indian descent. These hard working people were in large part responsible for the construction of the Panama Railroad and the Panama Canal and were it not for their great sacrifice, strength and perseverence this "Wonder of the Modern World," would never have been built.See exact map location at http://www.tagzania.com/item/91136
