My mom's side of the family, from Canada. My mom used to spell it "Charlevoix," but relatives and baptismal records indicate the more common spelling. Donna Marie Charlebois is probably not my grandmother, although my grandmother Marie died that same year (I don't know her birth year). However, her maiden name was Brisson, and she had married William Charlebois. The Brisson family is from Embrun Canada, and William and Marie moved to the United States (Michigan) sometime close to and prior to 1938.
