Clearwater Municipal Cemetery is located at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Lakeview St. in Clearwater, The cemetery was established in 1877 with the first burial being that of John William Jeffords.

Earliest burial is Howard Gordon, birth date unknown with a death date of 1831. Six people have death dates predating John William Jeffords, Gordon Howard d. 1831; David B Turner d. 1868; Infant Carver d. 1869; ? B. Turner d. 1869; Rev. Charles D. Nicholson, Sr. d. 1873; Palmelia Emily Taylor d. 1875; and two others have the same death year, T. J. Barnes d. 1877 and John T. Campbell 1877. These burials may well have occured prior to this becoming a recognized cemetery
