Add PhotosYou get to the cemetery by taking a right at the Coon Creek Fire Department on
KY 3427 which runs off Cutshin Rd (KY699).
Stay on the main narrow road and count the small bridges you cross from the
fire department. Counting the bridge at the fire department, the fourth
bridge you cross will be in front of a home. After you cross the fourth bridge,
continue on past 2 more houses and you will come to where the road forks.
The road to the right is the old strip mine road called Muncy Fork. Don't take that
road. Take the small road that continues on up Coon Creek. When you pass a row
of several oil tanks on your left you will know that you are on the right road.
Continue on and the road crosses the stream 3 times. After crossing the stream
the 3rd time you will go up a hill and eventually you will see some old buildings.
This is where Jim "Slick" Pennington use to live. The road goes right through the
creek in front of the house and forks again. The road to the right leads to the
cemetery just up on the hill.
