Add Photos(First) wife of Richard Cole and a new Headstone for Richard Cole Sr. I installed about 2002. If you know where to stop you can see them from The old road from Midway or even the interstate highway.
There is a small wooden fence around the two headstones. It sets atop the hill near the remains of the out kitchen which is where Fishers Mill Road dead ends at KY 421(Lee's town Pike Road.) There is a very old cemetery photo on my website along with a photo of Richard Cole Seniors original headstone(the original was stolen by souvenir hunters), also a cemetery census taken by the father of Ermina Jett Darnel in the 1920's (Author of "The Forks of Elkhorn" church book .
There is the original Frankfort Argus newspaper article on the death of Amos Cole and additional info at www.tsgraves.com. Photo's are in the God's Acre photo Album and other articles are under Cole's Bad Inn.
The Reverend Robert Sallee James and Zeralda (Cole) James (The Parents of the famous outlaws Frank and Jesse James) lived in the out kitchen for a short time (before heading to Missouri) ( the out kitchen is still standing near the site of what was Cole's Bad Inn (before it burned) and a photo of it is on my website at www.tsgraves.com.
