529 County Road (across road)
Jumpertown, Prentiss County, Miss.
Original Name of this Cemetery was Thomas Graveyard which was named after the Original Owner of this Property.
When the Graveyard was used, there was a Public Road that led to it and a Church.
There is no obvious signs of the Church, but information from people say it did exist.
When the Ownership of the Property was Purchased by the Minter Family, the name of the Cemetery changed to "Minter Cemetery" the name most people know best.
The Dinner Bell and the Fire Tower Ladder are the only Landmark left of the remaining Cemetery entrance.
They were set up to help look out for Forest Fires.
The Fire Tower Ladder has been rebuilt over the years.
The remaining portion of this Cemetery is located on the Private Property of the late Bill Belue.
It is not available for access to the Public due to its Unsafe Condition and Location since it currently Serves as a Private Hunting Club.
All Races Of People were Buried in this Cemetery over the Years because of the Wooded Areas of the Private Property Owned Originally by My Grandfather, Jacob Berry Moore, Jr.
Number of Burials Decreased when they "cut" the Cemetery into halves to widen Blackland Road.
