Douglas Borough Cemetery and Crematorium
Douglas, Middle, Isle of Man
Also known as the Douglas Borough Cemetery, it has a separate Jewish Section with interments continuous from 1899 to the present. In 1960 the old chapel was converted into the only crematorium on the Island.
The cemetery lies on rising ground 270 feet above sea-level about a mile inland and a mile and a half north of the railway station. It was established under an Act of Tynewald of 1895, and was consecrated on 3rd August, 1899. It covers nearly nine acres and is the property of Douglas Corporation.
