1928 Ole Olson was too old and sick to continue working. The timber boss offered him a place in town where he could spend his last days comfortably but he refused to leave his cabin. A short time later he was found dead by a fellow tie hack.
1928 Jack Rose was found dead in his bunk. A revolver was lying near his body and it was assumed he shot himself. The reason remains a mystery.
1930 Charles Mattsen was a heavy drinker. His friends, fearing for his life took his guns and hid them. Unfortunately, Charlie was later found in the forest, his throat slashed with a razor. The death was considered a suicide.

From Mountain View Wyoming, head south on the North Slope Scenic Backway into the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This dirt road crosses back and forth from Utah into
Wyoming. Stay on this road approximately 46 miles. This burial site can be found in Utah about ten feet from the Wyoming border.
