Add PhotosThe cemetery is located in a typical southern woodland with the possible nuisances of briers, poison ivy, chiggers, mosquitoes, copperheads, and rattlesnakes. It is not the place to hike to wearing shorts and sandals. I recommend visiting in winter when the nuisances are less active, wearing long pants and boots, and paying attention to what you touch and step on.
I visited it and photographed it in March of 2005 with cousins: Carolyn and Lynn Bingham and Fred McCord. We were guided to the cemetery by James A. Bryant.
Terry Albers visited and photographed the cemetery in 2002.
My father, Roy C. Mason, and his cousin, Isaac W. Mason, visited the cemetery in 1976. At that time, Roy made a rough diagram of some of the grave locations. Roy referred to the cemetery name as "Old Baker Cemetery" in his notes.
"Family Findings" the journal of the Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society, Vol. VII, No. 1, January 1975, p. 24, has a listing of gravestone details as copied by William B. Elam of Medina, Tennessee.
