UPDATE: A neighbor, across the dirt road from the cemetery, told me that the cemetery is on land that formerly belonged to Henslee and Eunice Rogers - their relationship to David is not known to me. She also stated that there were no other markers within her memory, and to her knowledge none had been moved. (Updated 2012-07-01, jcd.)
The cemetery is on the old Braxton Miller farm in a field that bounds to the north on Bear Swamp; it is on the east side of Mayette Court, 1/4 mile northeast of the intersection of Mayette Court with SC Hwy 9, between Lake View and Dillon.
The cemetery is on or bounding land sold to Shadrach Owens in 1831 by Levi Barfield. This is the same as or near lands granted in 1805 to Levi's father, Barrett Barfield, and bounds part of that same grant that was later owned by Barfield's son-in-law, Dew Rogers, and Dew's son, Captain R. H. Rogers.
I made the accompanying photographs when I visited the site in January, 2011. It has not previously been copied or surveyed, except for a brief note in the January-February 2011 issue of the "Pee Dee Queue", newsletter of the Pee Dee Chapter, South Carolina Genealogical Society.
This cemetery is marked "Cem" on the USGS Topographical maps, Hillsboro Quadrangle - no name for the cemetery is shown on the maps.

UPDATE: The cemetery has been cleared, the tree is now gone. It looks much more traditional. But I fear that when less caring people own the field David Rogers' lone marker will go the way of so many more, and be lost to the careless tractor. (Updated 2016-03-20, jcd.)
