*Stafford Grave Marker* is the only stone at Indian Battle Park Cemetery - was established near Fort Whoop-Up in 1870.

This Burying Ground was selected by William Stafford family following the death of a son, Henry, in 1883.

This was the first and oldest Cemetery in Lethbridge (no longer in use) it was located at the Oldman River bottom at Indian Battle Park near Fort Whoop-up (in Lethbridge, Alberta)

Henry Stafford was the first burial and only his stone marker is located in the field close to the original cemetery.

Due to flooding in the Riverbottom, the town moved 'up the hill' and most were reinterred at the other cemeteries in Lethbridge (Mountain View, Saint Patrick's or Archmount)
