The cemetery has 2 distinct sections. The northern half (section 1) is the older part. It is wooded and is 95+% full. Most grave monuments are upright stones facing toward the east, but there are a certain number of flat markers. The earliest death date was 1876. This section has a chapel situated approximately at the center. It has 31 rows from front to back, and 319 discernible lots.
The southern half (section 2) presents a much different picture. It has no trees and is only about 20% full. The rows are spaced more widely apart and the stones face in alternating directions; that is, row 1 toward the east, row 2 toward the west, row 3 toward the east and so forth. The earliest death date of 1992 underscores that this section was probably added to the cemetery in recent years. There are 68 discernible lots.
Of the total 387 lots, 62 have no markings of any kind and 30 others show only surnames. Consequently, only 295 lots have information on individual persons. It is not uncommon for a lot to contain more than one monument.
In the interest of maximizing searchability, all names are spelled without the diacritics of the Lithuanian alphabet which commonly appear on grave monuments. Since Lithuanian last names indicate gender and (in the case of females) marital status, every effort was made to follow correct naming conventions. For example, in the common situation where a husband and wife are buried together under a pluralized surname, the husband's surname is rendered here with the masculine nominative singular ending (-as, -is, -ius) and the wife's surname is rendered with the feminine nominative singular married ending (-iene).
Initial recordings for this cemetery were made in 2010 and have been regularly updated ever since. Coverage may be regarded as 100%, minus the most recent burials. The transcriber‘s great-grandparents, Tomas Matulis and Magdelena Damiseviciute-Matuliene, are buried in this cemetery.
