Rocky Run was a post office stop and French-Canadian settlement created prior to the community of Winsted.

St John the Baptiste was the Catholic Church, the cemetery was referred to as Rocky Run. The church chose to merge with Holy Trinity of Winsted in the early 1900s yet burials found in death records document into the first few years of the 20th century. St John the Baptiste burned and it is believed the church records were lost to the fire.

At one time, the cemetery was more than 10 acres in size. In 1976 it was reviewed and found to be less than 1 acre within a pasture. Twenty years later, the same situation was noted. Rocky Run is on private property and permission is required.

PLEASE NOTE: some burials/stones might have been reinterred in the Holy Trinity cemetery in the town of Winsted. Please check there for burials also. Rocky Run is not the same as 'Old Holy Trinity' cemetery. Old Holy Trinity is a section within Holy Trinity in Winsted, MN. The two cemeteries are approximately 5 miles from each other (Holy Trinity/Old Holy Trinity and Rocky Run).
