Lower Caverhill Cemetery
Queensbury, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
This cemetery is very difficult to find as it is located on private property and it is not accessed by a public road.
From Nackawic drive on Route 105 towards Mactaquac for about 4 KM. Turn left onto Route 610 (Caverhill Road) travel about 7.8 KM until you come to Route 615. Turn right.
Travel 2.3 KM and turn right onto the Lower Caverhill Road. There is a small cemetery about 400 meters on the left, keep driving. Drive another 1.5 KM's and the road is going to become very poor. You will probably want to have a small truck to continue or park your car and go for a walk.
Walk or drive another 0.5 KM. There is a small ATV trail on the left. Park here if you are still driving and walk the trail. At approximately 350 meters you will come to a spot where the beavers have dammed a small stream. The trail is wet and muddy here most of the year. Walk another 200 meters past the muddy area and there is a small trail to the left. Follow this trail 100 meters to the very end and the cemetery will appear. There are only 6 or 7 stones, one of which has been ruined by age and the name can not be determined. There may be more stones lying on the ground in the area but in general the forest has reclaimed this site.
