Surveyed on March 6, 1967, and recorded in "Bulloch County, Georgia Cemeteries", vol. IV, pg 3, published by Archibald Bulloch Chapter DAR in 1982-1983.
The cemetery most likely no longer exists but was located on a farm in a field in front of the Cowart House near Hagin's Mill Pond (formerly Allen Davis Mill Pond), near Leefield, but not in the Macedonia Church Community.

"VISIT TO BANKS BURYING GROUND NEAR LEEFIELD, Bulloch County, Georgia
"March 6, 1967
"I visited the Banks Cemetery that Miss Mittie Hodges told me about.
"My great uncle Jonah Banks told me about this place before he died.
"This cemetery is supposed to be where Cuyler Banks and family and also Martha Streagles Banks are buried.
"The cemetery was just where Miss Mittie told me it would be. It was not in the Macedonia Church Community but near Leefield. The Allen Davis mill pond is now called Hagin's Mill Pond and the cemetery is within sight of the old Davis residence (behind it).
"The farm where it is located is now owned by a Mr. Cowart whose father bought the land about 1913. The cemetery is in a field in front of the Cowart house. These people have plowed the cemetery under and only the stumps of small oak trees distinguish the boundary of the plot.
Someone has tried to burn the stumps and had piled up the remaining stones and tried to burn these too.
"Only two stones were found.
