Eastern Orthodox cathedral that is named after St. Seraphim of Sarov. There is only one burial, which is Archbishop Dmitri Robert Roscoe Royster. The Archbishop founded St. Seraphim in 1954. His remains were originally interred at Restland Cemetery, as the city code at the time of his death would not permit burial at Saint Seraphim since St. Seraphim was built on piers, which did not allow for burial until a proper foundation had been constructed. He was disinterred from Restland Cemetery March 4, 2016 and taken to his beloved Saint Seraphim Cathedral where he was permanently laid to rest March 5, 2016 in his newly constructed crypt in the Resurrection Chapel.
