Memorial Day Avenue of Flags in memory of Lester Tinker Redding.

Crook County American Legion Post 29 Avenue of Flags was started in 1981 by Comrade "Andy" Anderson. Each flag, donated by the family, was the casket flag for a deceased Veteran, whose name is written on the flag. All Veterans of all wars, whether interred here or not, are eligible. The flags are flown on Memorial Day only. They are then taken down, folded properly, and stored in a locked cabinet. Although this is an American Legion project, donations from the V.F.W. and individuals have helped perpetuate this ceremony since its inception. To have your Veteran's flag flown on Memorial Day, please contact the Post 29 Chaplain at 541-447-5651.

This is a map of the old Pioneer section of Juniper Haven Cemetery. The cemetery itself has no signage identifying the sections. The Crook County Cemetery District identifies the blocks by letter and color, and the sextant can assist you in locating a grave between 7AM and 4PM M-F. All grave markers extant in 2014 have had their GPS coordinates uploaded to their memorial page. In addition, there are over 600 unmarked graves with memorial pages.
