The Sacred Heart Catholic Church section is the southern area of Riverside Cemetery (Find a Grave has merged the two cemeteries most likely by someone's request). Both cemeteries use duplicate letters for sections, i.e. Sacred Heart Section A is immediately south of the main entrance, while Riverside Cemetery Section A is immediately north of the main entrance.

ial followed at Sacred Heart Cem-
etery.

Sacred Heart Catholic parish of
Nekoosa was organized in 1900 as
a mission of Rudolph with the Rev.
August Van Sever as the mission
priest. The first mass was held in
the Andrew Zurfluh residence. In
1901, after a long campaign led by
John P. Nash, Nekoosa was made
a parish. The Rev. Joseph Felman [sic]
came as the first resident priest
on July 28, 1901, and served until
his death on Dec. 26, 1927.
