You will see Bohanan, Bohanon, Bohannan and Bohannon. ALL these people in White/Putnam County, Tennessee are related and the majority spell their name Bohannon. I hold with that practice consistently. John B. BohannAn born 1861 and Campbell BohannOn born 1863 are brothers but their names are spelled differently on their stones. Which spelling predominates? BohannOn does. That is why I use it exclusively.
