Mr. Brookman died Sunday morning at Goldenrod Manor where he had been a patient for the past 18 months. He was born December 13, 1891 at Gravity, the son of George and Ella (Churchill) Brookman. He was married to Maude H. McFarland on March 21, 1918 [1917]. Mr. Brookman had worked for the Tyler Brothers Bottling of Clarinda and Villisca before his retirement.
Besides his wife of the home he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Betty) King of Ortonville, Minnesota and three grandchildren.
Burial was in the Washington Cemetery at Gravity, Iowa.
