HELEN CLARA BRATZ

Rejoice with me as I, Helen Bratz, declare my faith in Jesus Christ my Savior. I am certain that I will live eternally in heaven. This is possible not because I have earned or deserved it, but because Jesus died in my place. I live with Him now because He lived, suffered and died on my behalf. It is my deepest wish that all of you may know and love Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Also, that through your faith you may join me in the joy of that great inheritance which I now enjoy at my Savior's side.

Helen Clara Bratz, formerly of 612 Lee Ave. in Brillion, entered eternal life on Nov. 22, 2008.

Helen was born on May 20, 1924, in Millersville (town of Herman, Sheboygan County). She was the daughter of the late John and Freida (Bubolz) Olp. She married Harold Bratz on April 23, 1944, in Brillion. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1992. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brillion. She taught Sunday school at Trinity for 15 years and was also superintendent of the Sunday school. Helen and Harold cared for 18 foster children throughout their lives and adopted four children. Helen loved to knit, crochet and make crafts, including ceramics and ornaments. She also loved to garden and tend to her flowerbeds. She was an avid baker and cook.

(Survivors omitted for privacy.)

She was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law: Hildegard Schultz and Lucille Wagner; six brothers-in-law: Oscar Bratz, Adolph Burich, Gilford Schultz, John Bratz, Herbert Maas and Johnny Wagner. She is further preceded in death by one niece, Karen Crawford, and one nephew, John Paul Wink.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 26, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Revs. Ross Henzi and Jonathan Bourman will officiate. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.

Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and then at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein for all their love and support given to Mom during her stay.
