Marie A. Jonas, age 78, of Two Rivers, died Thursday evening, January 18, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2001, at Our Saviors Ev. Lutheran Church Two Rivers. Rev. Louis Sievert will officiate and entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
Marie was born April 24, 1922, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late William F. and Meta Wenholtz Blum. She married Fred W. Jonas, on October 8, 1938, in the town of Gibson. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1978. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Mirro Aluminum for many years and then in the housekeeping department at Holy Family Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a long time member of Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church. Marie volunteered her services to many people in need.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Blum; three sisters, Martha Jonas, Elma Jurgens Dorothy Messman, an infant brother and sister also preceded her in death.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran church on Monday, January 22, 2001 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
