JERRY ROLLAND

Jerry Rolland, 78, of Clarks Mills died Saturday evening at his home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, with the Rev. Henry Arens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Rolland was born Jan 1, 1884, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Richard and Mary Dugan Rolland. He married Mayme Brennan January 11, 1920 and the couple operated a farm in the Cato area until his retirement in 1947. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of his church for many years and served as treasurer of that society.

Among survivors are two sons, Clem of Clarks Mills and Charles of Valders; two step-sons, Lawrence Brennan, Clarks Mills and Eugene Brennan of Rt. 1, Cato; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Burke of Beaver Island, Mich., and Mrs. Bernard McCulley of Clarks Mills and 17 grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
