HUBERT W. BARONNER
Hubert W. Baronner. 770 Washington ave., died Wednesday at 10:15 p.m. in the Tyrone Hospital, where he had been admitted that afternoon. He was born Nov. 2, 1903 at Gaysport, the son of Francis A. and Anna (Sehrieber) Baronner. He was married Oct. 30, 1929. in the St. Matthew Rectory, to the former Lillian M.Stoner.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. Mrs. George ( Sally ) Miller, Tyrone; Mrs. Glen (Betsy) Chatfield , Bethel Park, Thomas W. Baronner. Erie, and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Francis Neil, Altoona, Mrs. John Hand and Mrs. Victor Martinez, both of Tyrone.
He was a member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church. He was a treasurer of Tyrone Moose Lodge 25, a 30-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bellwood; the Blazing Arrow Hook & Ladder Fire Company, the Cartright Hunting Club, and was the oldest living Past President of the Central District Volunteer Firemen's Association.
A linotype operator, he had been employed by the Tyrone Herald Co. in that capacity for 26 years, after which he was employed in the same capacity by the Altoona Mirror Company for 17 years, retiring on Nov. 1,1968.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John R. Sasway celebrant. Interment will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Getz & Searer Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, where a recitation of the Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home until the time of service on Saturday.
