Frank was born in Brocton Massachusetts, Nov 26 1916 to Harvey G. Olson and Hanora Batiste. He was a very handsome fellow with his bluest of eyes and a very gregarious personality. Frank was married twice with three children from his first marriage and seven children and two step children from the second.
He served in the Navy and was stationed in California. After the service he went back career wise on what he had learned from growing up with his father Harvey, and that was construction. He was a construction superintendent for as long as I can remember.

One of our dad's passion's was archery. He and my mother belonged to an archery club in Southern California where he, at some point, took turn as president of the archery club. He and my mother were most excellent archers, as our house was wall to wall trophies. He also loved to play billiards; he would always come home with a pocket full of quarters from his winnings.

Dad also loved music! Nate King Cole and Oscar Petersen (pianist) were his all time favorite. Dad loved his music so much he self taught himself to play the piano by ear "Frank style" not Oscar.

He was working on learning the Harmonica when he got sick. I can still hear him play! With his laughter and personality he just lit up a room and loved to entertain.

Dad loved to take us kids on day trips. We would pile in the back his old 65 ford truck and we would take day trips to the river, or cherry and apple picking. That was back in the day when you could pile 9 kids in the back of a truck and not get ticketed. We have such fond memories of our dad it would take many of these pages to even begin to tell the story of Frank. He left us way too soon from a very aggressive cancer at 57 years old. We cherish the time we had with him, he was a very loving and protective father and husband. He was larger than life! He loved his family and we loved him!!!! The saying below say's it all!

When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost.
