Amelia S. Forney
Mrs. Amelia Skinner Forney, 84, daughter of Eugene Skinner, for whom the city of Eugene was named, died June 28 at Upland, Cal., at the home of a son, Lieutenant-Commander Walter V. Combs, United States Navy, retired, according to word just received. She was born on the donation land claim settled in 1845 by Eugene Skinner.
Sheleaves three grandchildren and two nieces, on of the latter being Mrs. J. R. Krausse, Portland. Burial was at San Diego, Cal.
