Obit. Corpus Christi Times 11/1/85 - Jack Fleming Phillips, 57, of Corpus Christi, died Thursday, october 31, 1985 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a native of Madison Co. Alabama and had lived in Corpus Christi since 1951. He had been employed at the American Chrome and Chemical Co. for 34 years. He was a member and the Music Director at West Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Phillips of Corpus Christi: two daughters, Tita Pinckard of Houston and Norma Ramsay of Corpus Christi: one brother, Bill Phillips of Hazel Green, Alabama: one sister, Dot Johnson of Huntsville, Al.: and three granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 1985 at the West Heights Baptist Church with Joe Brumbelow officiating. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
