Joyce E. Hutterer, age 75, of 7822 Hillcrest Rd., Manitowoc, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

The former Joyce Schaetz was born on January 8, 1938, in Brown County, daughter of the late Killian and Ann (Wisner) Schaetz. Joyce was a 1956 graduate of Mishicot High School. She was secretary of her graduating class. On January 26, 1957, Joyce married Kenneth Hutterer at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple started farming in the Town of Kossuth in 1962 and Joyce was a dedicated farmer's wife. Joyce also worked as a waitress in various establishments in the Francis Creek and Kellnersville area. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek.
Joyce was an excellent cook and baker. She had a "green thumb" and loved working in her garden and flower beds. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and word search puzzles. When she was no longer able to garden, she enjoyed seeing how many different birds she could attract to her bird feeders.

Survivors include her husband, four children, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister and a brother-in-law, one aunt, two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Killian (Ann) Schaetz; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: John (Anna) Hutterer; one brother-in-law: Melvin Brockhoff; one sister-in-law: Irene Novak; one nephew: Stevie Hutterer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with cremation to follow and burial of her cremated remains in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home led by Fr.
