Janice M. Rezachek, age 81 of Manitowoc passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening December 23, 2021, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

The former Janice Schaetz was born on May 17, 1940, in Brown County, daughter of the late Killian and Ann (Wisner) Schaetz. She was a 1957 graduate of Mishicot High School. On March 2, 1957, she married Roger A. Rezachek at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2017. Janice worked as a CNA for Holy Family Homecare and private homecare. She loved flowers, cooking and baking. No one ever left her house hungry or empty handed. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include her four children and their spouses: John (Katie) Rezachek, Chilton; Danny Rezachek, Sturgeon Bay; Terri (Lanny) Pries, Manitowoc; Lisa (Jeff) Novak, Manitowoc; Lori Rezachek, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; including one special great granddaughter: Tenley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Kenneth Hutterer, Francis Creek; Glen (Isabel) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Jimmy (Connie) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Alan (Lynn) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Mary Lou (Stan) Badjan, Wild Rose; Carol (Bruce) Edwards, Manitowoc; Lynn Kautzer, Manitowoc; Karen Hebel, Rhinelander; Sandy Kope, Rhinelander; Theresa Rezachek, Two Rivers; three good friends: Arlene Haese; Beverly Novak; and Margaret Heffernan; two special dogs: Mickey and Minnie; nieces, nephews including three special nieces: Barbara, Carol and Debbie; other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Killian and Ann Schaetz; her husband: Roger Rezachek; one son: Steven Rezachek; one daughter-in-law: Debbie Rezachek; one sister: Joyce Hutterer; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: John Rezachek; Paul Hebel; Susan Badjan; two special friends: Carmel Vreeke and Mark Surfus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday December 31, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 N.14th Street, Manitowoc). The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00am until the time of services at 11:00am.
