Betty M. Cox, 62, of Waynesburg R.D.5, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, June 10, 1991, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 20, 1928, in Jefferson Township, a daughter of the late George and Evelyn Knisely Swaniger.
Mrs. Cox was a lifelong resident of Greene County. She was employed by Greene County Memorial Hospital for 29 years, retiring in 1989.
Her husband, Millard (Jack) Cox, died January 6, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Vickie Wilson of Waynesburg; four sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Catherine) Price of Atwater, Calif., Mrs. George (Shirley) Nebel of Riverdale, Md., Mrs. Clyde (Peggy) Yeager of Vienna, Ohio, and Mrs. Sandra McNeely of Waldorf, Md.; four brothers, George Swaniger of Youngstown, Ohio, Donald Swaniger of Waldorf, Md., Robert Swaniger of Merino Valley, Calif., and James Swaniger of Mesa, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Marla Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson and Michelle Wilson.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a son, David W. Cox, and a daughter, Sheila Rae Cox; three sisters, Dolores Wood, Virginia Firestone and Frances Marlene Swaniger; and two brothers, Charles Swaniger and Ronald Lee Swaniger.
There will be no public visitation. Services and interment, under the direction of Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Waynesburg, will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice Care, Box 168, Waynesburg, Pa., 15370.
