Corpus Christi Times, Monday, May 25, 1942:
Funeral services for Paul W. Moomaw, 53, prominent druggist here, who died unexpectedly, sometime during Saturday night or Sunday morning will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at David T. Peel Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Theo A. Hinford, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will offciate and burial will be at Seaside Memorial Park.
Moomaw had operated a drug store at Third and Booty Streets for several years since coming here from Okemah, Okla., in 19 (31?). Recently he moved to 1419 Third Street. He was a native of Arkansas and was a member of First Methodist Church and a (32nd?) degree mason.
He is survived by his wife, who discovered his body in bed early Sunday; a daughter, Lulu Katharine Moomaw, teacher at Northside Junior School; and a son, Paul W. Moomaw, who is in the armed services, stationed at Denver, Colo.
Pallbearers will be Edward Ettel (Etter?), R. C. Sturivant (?), P. G. Weiner (?), W. H. Starke (?), Ford Stockton, and J.A.C. Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be H. (F. ?) McKinney, H. G. Rhodes, Dick Scapre (?), O. N. Stevens, A. Se___er, Juan Nunos (??), Dr. O. S. Koepper (?), W. C.
