Oleta was born January 25, 1930 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas since 1936. Oleta was a member of Parkdale Baptist Church and co-owner of Billy G. Preslar Siding Company from 1971-1995, when she and her husband retired..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Paris Adams; two brothers, Tilmon Adams (residents of Corpus Christi, Texas) and Aubrey G. "Tex" Adams of Hardy, Virginia..
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Billy G. Preslar; three daughters, Beverly (Craig) Pollman of San Antonio, Texas, Bileta Preslar and Alisa (Garland, Jr.) Kennedy both of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Jennifer Blake Pollman of San Antonio, Texas, Clara (Preslar) Alspaugh and Grant Kennedy of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister who was her life-long friend Christine Golleher; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and wonderful friends.
The family will be receiving friends during visitation which will begin at 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2000 at Seaside Funeral Home. .
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 in the Seaside Chapel. There will be a private entombment at the graveside, which will be attended by family members only. .
