She married Paul E. Connelly on Nov. 29, 1941, in Augusta. Athene dedicated her life to home and family. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning.
She was predeceased by her husband, who died June 2, 1989; two brothers, William and Borden Lasselle; a sister, Irene Braley; and a grandson, Patrick Mulkern.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Kimball and her husband, David, of Saco; a sister, Ethelyn Lasselle, of Winthrop; a sister-in-law, Colleen Lasselle, of Burnham; and several nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. (Kennebec Journal 3/21/2014)
