Delores Captain, known as Dee Captain, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away Thursday April 24, 2014 at her home.
Dee was born March 18, 1937 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She worked at Kewadin Casinos as a security guard for 18 years. She was loved by all her coworkers. She enjoyed doing her puzzle books and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dee was survived by her sons Benny (Michelle) Captain of Dafter, Michigan; Louis (Jodie) Captain of Kincheloe, Michigan and Richard Captain of Kincheloe, Michigan. Daughters Elizabeth (Dave) Brown of Kinross, Michigan; Sherly (Kenneth) Captain of Muskegon, Michigan; Donna (Meekoo) Goetz of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Brothers Richard Cornwell; James (Lisa) Cornwell of Kincheloe, Michigan and Eddie (Linda) Hesslink of Tecumseh, Michigan. Also survived by 27 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren; In-laws Jeannie; Julia; Glen and Vida; Special Friends Judy Frechette and Peggy McKechnie; Special Aunt and Uncle Elizabeth and Vern who was very important in raising Dee.
The former Delores Cornwell was predeceased by her husband Benny Captain after 57 years of marriage. Parents Albert Cornwell and Violet ‘Templet' Cornwell; Brothers Lavone Cornwell, AJ Cornwell and Doug Cornwell; Sisters Barb Wenmen; a grandson Billy Jack and 2 great grandchildren Dustin and McKenzie.
