Mrs. Lucy Jane Cross, 84, of Waynesburg, R.D. 2, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 1968, following a long illness. She was born November 1, 1883 near Fairview, WVa., a daughter of Daniel and Lucinda Gump Conaway. Her early life was spent in West Virginia, and after residing for a time at Brave, she spent her last years at Waynesburg. She was a member of the Pine Bank Methodist Church.

She was married three times and all three of her husbands are deceased.
Surviving are four sons by her first husband,
William Eddy:
Jesse Eddy of Holbrook;
Merle Eddy of Pontiac, Mich.;
Edward Eddy of Dunns Station, and
Norval Eddy of Canonsburg;

two daughters by her second husband, John Cumberledge:

Mrs. Marie Phillips of Waynesburg, R.D. 5, and
Mrs. Donald (Ella) Phillips of Rochester;
two sons by the same marriage; Fred Cumberledge of Waynesburg, R.D. 5, and Leroy Cumberledge of Waynesburg;

two daughters by her third husband, Elzie Cross;

Mrs. John (Bessie) Latshaw of Clinton and
Mrs. Berle (Norma) Cole of Deerfield, WVa.; one son by the same husband, Samuel Cross of Waynesburg.

Two sons, Artie and Stanley Eddy, three brothers and three sisters are deceased. Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Pine Bank Cemetery.
