Survivors include his wife, Fern; daughters, Kay Sasser of Jacksonville, Fla., and Merrie Maino of San Diego; son, Ronald of Escondido; sister, Viola Marquette of Alva, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday, El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.
