Stephen McNeely, a well known and highly respected citizen, died at his home, near Higbee, Monday, July 17, aged 70 years, of a complication of diseases. Mr. McNeely followed farming all his life and was quite successful. Beside his wife he is survived by four children, Henry McNeely, of Jefferson; Mrs. S. C. Corwin and Mrs. Ross Scott, of Waynesburg, and Miss Edith McNeely, at home. Two brothers, Jesse McNeely, Esq., of Sycamore, R. D. 1, John McNeely, of New Freeport, and one sister, Mrs. George McCullough, of Aleppo; and one half-sister, Mrs. C. G. Morris, of Kirby, Pa., and two half-brothers, Dr. George McNeely, of Mannington, and Dr. J. O. McNeely, of Fairmont, W Va., also survive. The funeral services were held in the Pursley Baptist church Wednesday at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. A. Blake.
