MILTON KELLER

Milton “Mickey” Keller, age 89, of 2106-33rd St., Two Rivers, went home to be with his Savior on Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 2010.

Mickey was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Sturgeon Bay, a son of the late Ward and Gladys (LeQue) Keller. He attended Sturgeon Bay schools and then took a course in welding in Marinette. Mickey worked at the Sturgeon Bay Shipyards until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was in the Signal Corps from August of 1942 until November of 1945. On Nov. 15, 1945 he married June C. Schlangen in San Deigo, Calif. Mickey was employed as a journeyman electrician at Mirro for many years, retiring in 1983.

Survivors include his wife; June Keller, Two Rivers; four children: Barbara (Jerel) Sehloff, Paul (Kay) Keller, Carole (Steve) Schwobe, Joan (Steve) Waack; twelve grandchildren: Sue (Mark) Lindloff, Rebekah (Grant) Waege, Rachel (Jared) Ratkowski, Katherine Sehloff, Paul (Amy) Keller, Eric Keller, Penny (Bill) Arndt, Joshua Shimek, Zachary Shimek, Jacob Schwobe, Nathan Waack, Travis (Melissa) Waack; and nine great-grandchildren: Megan and Colin Lindloff, Greta and Tess Waege, Ashley and Hailey Keller, Quinten Keller, and Cameron and Cody Repinski. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers: Ken, Al, Wes and Ray, and one sister: Pat.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Edward Stelter with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Wisconsin 310, Manitowoc. Military honors will be accorded by members of VFW Post No. 1248 and American Legion Post No. 165 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.

The Keller family extends a special thank you to the staff of Aurora Medical Center; Dr. Gahl, Dr. Wolf, and Louann, for the compassion and care shown to Milton and his family.
