Martha C Walters (daughter of Peter Walter & Anna Kleps) was born 30 Aug 1892 in Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey [Vital records show Wolter and Klebs spellings]. She married William Gerald (sometimes middle initial J) Miller on 31 May 1911 in Boston, Mass. He was born 16 Oct 1888 in Boston to Ellen Donnelly/Donley and William F Miller and was employed as a bank clerk [1920]. His mother, Ellen, was born in Ireland. Martha and William appear married in the 1920 and 1930 US Censuses, living in Boston. Then, a Boston city directory of 1931 (“for year ending August 1932”) shows Martha to be the widow of “Wm J Miller” and removed to Pasadena, California, where her siblings and mother lived at the time.
