Clem was the son of Augustus Heicken and Maria Eckert. On 25 May 1892 he married Theresia Roos and they had two children, Louis and Julia. At the time of his death he was employed as a tobacco packer for the J. Finzer & Brothers Company. Clem died of bronchitis at the age of 26.
