W. Elaine (Poole) Robinson aka Grandma Poole (91) - Mom/Grandma had a date with Jesus, Friday, December 5, 2014 at 9:57 p.m. As family surrounded her, what a glorious moment when she was united with her Savior. She was restored to perfect health. Elaine was born on August 28, 1923 as the daughter of Harry and Vada Sellers, brothers Blain and Leonard and sister Gloria, all who have predeceased her. She was a special lady with a heart of gold. Elaine had a wonderful life with her husband Howard E. Poole, which they celebrated 43 years together. They thoroughly enjoyed their time together at their cabin in Michigan enjoying fishing, cutting wood, taking drives looking at wildlife, and eating at their favorite café "Shirley's Restaurant" visiting with the locals. Fish fries were her specialty along with chicken dinners with sugar pies for dessert. Elaine lived in the Mansfield area all of her life, she was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Lexington, Ohio and was content with the simple things of life, which included her buddy "Jake" a yellow Labrador which went everywhere she went for 14 years. Their favorite pastime was eating popcorn together and taking walks. Elaine will be deeply missed by her children, David E. (Debra) Poole of Mansfield and daughter, Ellen K. (Terry) Eichar of Bellville, who feel blessed to of had a mother such as her who valued family. After her husband Howard passed away in 1987, her brother, Leonard introduced her to his friend, Dean B. Robinson. They were married in 1990 and had a year together enjoying golfing and traveling. After Dean's passing, she enjoyed her time with her five (5) grandchildren, Kristie (Joe) Smith, Shannon (Ben) Breen, Brian (Brandy) Poole, Ryan (Kristy) Eichar, and Julie (Brian) Hillman; a special niece, Carrie L. Hughes. The past four (4) years the family has had the privilege of caring for Grandma Poole on a rotation in their homes. Elaine was diagnosed with dementia and needed assistance. During this time, she was blessed not only with her children, grandchildren but also with her great-grandchildren, Anna Eichinger Smith, Nathan Smith, Colin Hillman, Sarah Smith, Sophia Hillman, Bella Hillman, Adelyn Breen, Avery Breen, and Natalie Smith.Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland.
