Doris M. Lauer (nee Rader), age 91, of Elyria, passed away on December 25, 2014 at the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.
She was born on March 11, 1923 in Belmore, Ohio and has been a resident of Elyria since 1946, moving from Grafton.
She had worked for many years as a cook at the Howard Johnson and LK Restaurants.
She is survived by her children Evelyn Lauer of Elyria, Vivian (George) Martin of East Springfield, Ohio, Arthur (Paulene) Lauer of Elyria, David (Dawn) Lauer of Elyria and George Lauer of North Olmsted; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother Glen (Darlene) Rader.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 2001; daughter-in-law Carol; great grandson David Postma Jr.; parents Fred and Ruth (nee Johns) Rader; sister Irene Trott and brothers Delbert and Melvin Rader.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville on Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. service. Rev. Randy McKinney will officiate. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
