Daughter of James Davidson and Jane (Curle) Davidson

"The death of Miss Christian Davidson late Saturday afternoon was marked by a singular coincidence. She died of heart disease while attending the funeral of a man who died from the same cause three days before. She had gone to Bowerstown to attend the funeral of Caleb B. Thayer in the afternoon and was seated talking with friends. A few moments before the services were to begin she fell back in her chair showing all the symptoms of heart disease. Restoratives were hastily produced and a physician was called but she was beyond the reach of help, dying in a few moments. Miss Davidson was 61 years old, having been born in Scotland. At the time of her death she was housekeeper for Edwin Lewis, of Bowerstown. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home of her brother, William Davidson, on Beaver street. The Rev. Mr. Conger preached the funeral sermon. Interment was in Lakewood cemetery. Deceased was a sister of the late Andrew Davidson."
