Harvey H. Higgins, 83, of Waynesburg R.D. 3, died at 12:45 p.m., Friday, November 19, 1982, at his home. He had been in his usual health, and death was due to an apparent heart attack.

He was born July 12, 1899, in Whiteley Township, a son of John Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Zimmerman Higgins.

He had resided most of his life in Franklin Township and was a member of the Fairall United Methodist Church and the Greene County Fox Chasers.

Early in life, Mr. Higgins was a rig builder and a teamster. Later he worked as a farmer and stock raiser.

His wife, Florence Duke Orndorff, whom he married May 3, 1924, died Marh 11, 1981.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles B. (Ruth Anna) Blair of Waynesburg R.D. 2, Mrs. Dwight G. (Josephine Elizabeth) Blair of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, William G. Higgins of Waynesburg R.D. 2, John O. Higgins of Waynesburg R.D. 3; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Franklin Higgins of Waynesburg R.D. 3.

Deceased are two sisters, Anna Myrtle Rockwell, May Margaret Webster; and two brothers, Walker Enos Higgins and John William Higgins.
